Pool Deck & Screen Enclosure Cleaning – Daytona Beach, FL
A Safe, Same-Day Soft Wash for a Slippery, Algae-Covered Pool Area
Greg reached out to AJM Soft Wash Plus L.L.C after noticing green mold building up on his pool screen enclosure, patio frames, and surrounding concrete deck. The surface was slippery, especially near the waterline, and the screens were starting to turn green. With warm weather approaching, Greg wanted the area cleaned before hosting guests — without risking damage to the enclosure or sealants.
Our Approach
We performed a full walkthrough of the lanai enclosure and pool deck, identifying areas with the heaviest buildup. Using our low-pressure soft wash system, we gently treated the screens, aluminum framing, and paver joints. We followed up with a light pressure wash on the concrete around the pool, removing algae and restoring the original surface texture without harming the structure.

Why It Mattered
Algae buildup on pool decks and enclosures isn’t just ugly — it’s a slip hazard and a health concern, especially for families. This project restored the look and safety of Greg’s outdoor space while protecting the materials from long-term moisture damage. And best of all, it was ready for poolside entertaining just in time for spring.
The Result
The space looked brand new. The concrete was clean and grippy, the screen enclosure was clear and streak-free, and Greg’s guests could enjoy the pool without slipping or smelling mildew. He was impressed by the attention to detail — and already planning to book a roof cleaning next.
